Renata Nogueira da Silva

Educator, anthropologist, and teacher.
Education: PhD in Social Anthropology (UnB, 2019 – Sandwich UNTL); Master’s Degree in Anthropology (UnB, 2012); Master’s Degree in Sociology (UFG, 2007); Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (UFU, 2003).

Work experience: Since 2012, she has worked as a teacher trainer at the School for the Improvement of Education Professionals in the Federal District (EAPE), focusing on the continuing education of educators on issues of diversity, ethnic-racial relations, gender, sexuality and interethnic education. She has also taught on the Technical Course in Community Tourism at CNEP-Tibar (Timor-Leste).

Research: Collaborator on the Postgraduate Programme in Social Anthropology at UnB (PPGAS) and member of LEEG/UnB. Her studies address heritage policies, the anthropology of rituals, sacred houses in Timor-Leste, and congadeira practices. She is part of the research project ‘Ecologies and economic subjectivities’ (Timor-Leste, Amazonia, and Cuba, 2023-present).

International Consulting: Experience in specialised international consulting, having supported the development of the Teacher Training Component in the Feasibility Study of the Higher School of Education (ESE) – ‘Escola de Raiz’ in Timor-Leste.
