Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto, collaborated with projects related to Timor-Leste, and has been a supervisor for dissertations related to the history and culture of that country. The areas of interest include history, environment, and archives. The work undertaken while visiting the National University of Timor-Leste in April-May 2013 and January 2014, resulted in a wide range of recommendations on priorities in the process of repositioning the UNTL’s educational offerings.
